Recent Pictures

I know, it's been a long time since pictures! What can I say, we've been busy! I hope you enjoy these and hopefully I'll post more soon.

The kids doing what they do best, being silly!

Yes, he's getting big! Such a little man.

A little man who LOVES soccer (and The Ladies)!

This little girl also loves soccer! She's scored 4 goals this year!!!

Look at the determination on that face!

Pictures of the kids.

Maddie and Eli hamming it up!

Yes, they really do love each other this much all the time!

What a happy man!

Hanging out on the rocker.

My Maddie!

We went strawberry picking today, but this is the only photo I got that is both in-focus and has Maddie fully in the frame. My hands were full with a 16 month old that wanted to pummel strawberries!

I love my kids!

Maddie on our Easter Egg Hunt.

Eli snoozing in the swing at the park.

Maddie dancing and posing for pictures, of course! Dance doesn't start until September :o( Bummer! Not sure what we'll do this summer to keep us busy...maybe rest since the Fall will be filled with soccer AND dance!

Eli with his "righteous 'fro." I think he looks adorable with his new, shorter 'do, but I still miss it sometimes. Luckily, I hear hair grows back! Maybe we'll sport a longer cut in the fall! I'll have to post pictures of his shorter cut soon...Add it to my list of things to do!

I love my kids! And I love Emma for capturing their adorable faces so well!!!

Wow, Busy Season is over, Ben is done with the PE and we can all breathe again! I must say it feels good!

During Busy Season Maddie started soccer! Wow, has that been hilarious! She is having a great time and her little brother is more than ready to get out there and show everyone his moves, too (but he needs to wait 3 more years). Maddie plays for the Purple Pirates with 1 other girl and 5 boys. They are all great kids and Maddie has a blast. We have fun watching, cheering, giggling (it's quite a sight) and talking to her teammates' parents! Eli enjoys cheering, snacking and trying his darndest to get out on that field!!!

After Maddie's first soccer game she and I went to her first ballet! She LOVED it, of course! And she has now decided that she will be starting ballet lessons (after soccer season, because mommy can only handle one extra-curricular at a time right now).

Eli is growing and learning! He has expanded his vocabulary to 6 words (dog, uh-oh, daddy, ball, banana, bubble) and has started to use his sign language more frequently, though mostly about food (at least he uses his manners and signs "please" too). He can kick a ball (see below) and is working on climbing. Right now he's limited, but that won't last for long! He's a determined little squirt!

I will have to update more, but for now, I hear the little one squeaking as he awakes from his slumber!

Maddie had her first Soccer Free Play on Sunday! It was raining and a bit chilly, but she had a great time and can't wait to play her first game next week! Eli also had a great time chasing around ALL of the balls and joining in!

The Art Project:

Yes, I watched this happen. But sidewalk chalk is SO EASY to wash off and they both had an absolute BLAST! It's hard to tell who enjoyed it more!

I have found that getting pictures of TWO kids, one of which is 14 months old and rarely sits still, can be challenging! But, I have included some pictures from today when the kids got brand new rain jackets from Auntie Debbie! Enjoy the good, the bad, and the just plain humorous!
