Zombie Chickens?! Blame Becky!!

Becky chose me, along with 4 other bloggers, to receive this wonderful award!

"The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken - excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all…"

Now, personally, I really want to meet these chickens and I don't think their wrath is any match for my kung-fu moves, so bring it on chickens!!! But, to at least lessen their wrath, I bestow this award on Shell (either blog, hehe) and Erin because I don't want them to feel left out of the circle!!!

As for an adoption update, we had our conference call yesterday. Not too much to share right now. I'm still betting on this Fall. According to our agency there is a possibility that the time will be less, but I'm not sure if they mean weeks or months less. So, I will plan on Sept/Oct and (hopefully) be pleasantly surprised if it's earlier!

I do think that I might get a Power of Attorney and give it to Ben when I'm out of town for 2 weeks in July, just incase he needs to sign our referral paperwork for the both of us! Guess I will wait and see if I have the "On-Deck" email by then!

FOUR MONTHS!

Tulips! How appropriate! HAPPY EASTER!!

Today marks the fourth month since we were DTE (Dossier To Ethiopia). Our agency is currently processing boy/either referrals for families who were DTE 6/13/08. We were DTE 12/12/08. We are planning on another 5-8 months, but we are hoping for less (or at least closer to the 5 than the 8)!!!

As always, I ask that you keep the many families who are waiting to pass court in your prayers. As hard as this wait seems right now, the wait to bring home your beautiful child is MUCH harder, I am sure!
